Privacy Policy

Last updated July 16, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information synapcyte collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to your use of the synapcyte marketplace.

1. Information we collect

  • Account information: your name, email address, organization name and type, role, and password (stored only as a one-way hash).
  • Provider profile (providers only): capabilities, service categories, location, and similar details you choose to add.
  • Project and proposal content: projects you post, proposals you submit, milestones, line items, and any files you upload as attachments.
  • Agreements: NDA and services-agreement records, including the template version, signer name, timestamp, and the IP address and browser user-agent captured at signing for the audit trail.
  • Messages: messages you exchange with other parties on a project.
  • Technical data: limited log and device data (such as IP address) used to operate and secure the Platform, including rate limiting.

2. How we use your information

  • To operate the marketplace, including matching projects to providers, enabling proposals, agreements, and messaging.
  • To send transactional emails (verification, password reset, and notifications about your projects and proposals).
  • To verify accounts, prevent abuse, and secure the Platform.
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your project or proposal content to train third-party advertising systems.

3. How information is shared

  • With other users: a project’s confidential details are shared with a provider only after that provider signs the project NDA. Proposals are shared with the project’s buyer.
  • Service providers we rely on: for example, our hosting provider and our transactional email provider, who process data on our behalf.
  • Legal reasons: where required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of synapcyte and its users.

4. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Platform. Agreement and audit records may be retained longer where necessary to establish the terms parties agreed to, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.

5. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live (for example, under GDPR or CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights or to request deletion of your account and associated personal data, email privacy@synapcyte.com. We will respond within a reasonable time and may need to verify your identity. Note that some records tied to executed agreements may be retained as described in Section 4.

6. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including hashed passwords, access controls, and encrypted connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. International users

synapcyte may process and store information in countries other than your own. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we take steps to protect it consistent with applicable law.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the “last updated” date and, for material changes, provide additional notice where appropriate.
